A warm welcome to worship

There are a multitude of ways to be involved at First Lutheran Church, but below is a brief list of volunteer opportunities where you can immediately offer your time and talent to the ministry of the congregation. If you are interested in volunteering, call the church office at 715-832-8321 for further information.

Worship

• Usher—welcome worshipers, provide bulletins, receive offerings, and prepare sanctuary for next service
• Reader—read Scripture Lessons
• Communion Assistant—help pastors serve Holy Communion
• Chancel Choir— teens and adults sing with the traditional choir
• First Light— sing with the contemporary worship team
• First Act— perform with the adult drama team
• Multimedia— help with the projection and recording of worship services: camera and computer operators and director

Education

• Christian Education Teacher—Teaching Wednesday evening
• Library—keep our church library in good working order and acquire new library resources
• Historical Committee—preserve and display historical documents and artifacts

Social Action

• The Beacon House (Interfaith Hospitality Network)— help with the homeless shelter ministry
• Community Table—serve meals on a monthly basis
• Habitat for Humanity—help build homes
• Funeral Luncheons— give hospitality to families who experience a loss
• Email Prayer Chain— share prayer concerns via email
