Then, a significant medical condition requires you to remain home, or your health declines so that the special care of a nursing home is needed, or you are so unsteady that you dare not walk on icy sidewalks during the winter. Suddenly, you are cut off from the church, the community of faith.

The Deacon Ministry ensures that all homebound or nursing home persons receive a personal visit on a regular basis. Deacons bring the bread and wine of Holy Communion from Sunday worship to those who are unable to come to the sanctuary. Over 30 Deacons are trained and committed to reaching out in the name of Jesus Christ.
